Escape the city and come discover the stunning beauty of Lake Huron. Our Kayak Day Trip is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery of this unique and diverse paddling destination.
Board our Adventure Boat, already loaded with kayaks, and head out from Snug Harbour. The benefit of our boat is the ability to get to multiple amazing paddling locations in one day.
Once we get to some secluded islands, we will set anchor and launch the kayaks. These full-day Island adventure tours are 6-hours long and take you deep into the Georgian Bay UNESCO Biosphere. Once you get to a secluded location, we will set anchor and head out on kayaks or Stand-Up Paddleboards to glide quietly between the channels and bays of these freshwater granite islands. Our guides are Paddle Canada certified kayak instructors who are happy to give you some coaching on your paddling skills. If a member of your group doesn’t want to paddle, then they can swim or relax on the boat while others paddle.
We paddle at a relaxed pace as we explore the channels and inlets between the islands. At lunchtime we will find an island to land on, and surrounded by windswept pines, you can enjoy your packed lunch on the warm granite heated by the sun. This is also a great time to have a swim in the crystal clear water before continuing to explore. Bring your own lunch picnic onboard to store in one of our coolers or add a lunch charcuterie option to your booking, and we bring that along for you.

Departing from Snug Harbour, our captain will make a safe route plan based on the weather conditions of the day. If the weather is favourable, then we will head out to some of the outer islands like the Snakes and Mink and McCoy Islands. We may even pass the iconic Red Rock lighthouse.
Approximately 10 kilometers of paddling, however, we accommodate the abilities of the group. The Adventure Boat will travel approximately 40 kilometers
